Posted on: Wednesday, 2 July 2008, 03:00 CDT

Alaska Airlines has named Lane Kemper as the new managing director of customer service-call centers, where she will oversee customer call centers, including reservations and customer care.

Ms Kemper, who has 24 years experience with Alaska Airlines, started her career as a part-time employee in the accounting department while completing her college degree.

Ms Kemper served in various positions, including manager of credit collections, before moving into reservations, where she worked in Phoenix and, most recently, in Seattle as director of reservations. She holds a bachelor of science degree in marketing from Central Washington University.

Steve Jarvis, vice president of marketing, sales and customer experience, at Alaska Airlines, said: "Lane has worked on a wide range of projects that have improved services for customers. Coupled with her strong track record in accounting and reservations, this makes her the perfect individual for the job."
