Winter Flights Set for Take-Off

LOW-COST airline Flybe has announced details of its winter flight programme for the Capital.

The company said it has expanded the number of routes with additional connections through its Scottish franchise partner Loganair.

Among the UK city break destinations on its winter programme from Edinburgh are Belfast, Birmingham, Cardiff, Exeter, Jersey, Manchester, Norwich and Southampton.

Mike Rutter, Flybe’s chief commercial officer, said: “The launch of our winter schedule from Edinburgh sees us continuing to deliver on our promise to bring great value fares.

“Flybe is now the biggest domestic airline outside London and despite the current economic climate we’ve had a busy and successful first half of 2008.”
