Skoda Succeeds at the Concern EDF
Skoda JS (Pilsen, Czech Republic), nuclear power engineering equipment manufacturer, succeeded for the first time at the power concern EDF (France) in 2008. Skoda JS will supply equipment worth CEK 130 mil for a newly built block of the nuclear power station in Flamanville, France. The contract from EDF is a giant reference for Skoda JS. The firm has succeeded for the second time with parts for the reactor EPR, which was developed by Areva (France). It has been supplying parts for the first reactor EPR to Olkiluot, Finland, since 2007. Skoda JS has manufactured reactors and components for the nuclear power stations VVER of the Russian type so far.
