ZAGREB, July 3 (Hina) – The Croatian and Hungarian gas transport operators Plinacro and FGSZ Natural Gas Transmission have signed a letter of intent to cooperate in connecting the two countries’ gas transport infrastructure by building a gas pipeline between Varosfold in Hungary and Slobodnica, near the eastern Croatian town of Slavonski Brod, Plinacro said in a statement on Thursday.#L#
Plinacro and FGSZ officials also signed a letter of intent with representative of the Croatia Power Supply Company (HEP), with an aim to reserve capacities for the transport of gas through the said gas pipeline.
The Slobodnica-Varosfold gas pipeline is important also because it could be part of large projects such as Nabucco and South Stream, the statement said.
