Miller Confirms Gazprom Plans to Buy Turkmen Gas at Market Price

ASHGABAT. July 4 (Interfax) – Gazprom (RTS: GAZP) CEO Alexei Miller confirmed that Russia will buy gas from Turkmenistan “in rising volumes and at market prices.”
“Ashgabat’s basic condition on that issue is a market price for Turkmen gas, based on the average price of gas delivered to Europe,” Miller said in Ashgabat on Friday ahead of top-level Russian- Turkmen talks.
Russian President Dmitry Medvedev arrives in Ashgabat on Friday. Bilateral cooperation in fuel and energy is expected to be one of the main topics of Medvedev’s talks with Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow.
