Alaska Airlines Partners With Frontier Alaska

Posted on: Monday, 7 July 2008, 15:00 CDT

Alaska Airlines has entered into a strategic partnership with regional air group Frontier Alaska that will allow Frontier customers to earn and redeem miles in Alaska Airlines' Mileage Plan and to book through-travel on Alaska Airlines in select markets, starting 2008 fall.

Mileage Plan members earn and redeem mileage on more than a dozen airlines, including more major US airlines than any other frequent flier program. Mileage Plan offers additional opportunities to earn miles through an extensive network of partners, including the Alaska Airlines Visa credit and debit cards, Mileage Plan Shopping, Mileage Plan Dining, Safeway, and more than 30 hotel and car rental partners worldwide.

Rick Rasmussen, Alaska Airlines' director of customer loyalty and marketing programs, said: "We're excited to be exploring the possibilities of working with Frontier Alaska as a new airline partner in the state of Alaska.

"Once we bring Frontier Alaska on as a partner, frequent fliers in the state of Alaska will enjoy easier connections on the two carriers as well as even more opportunities to earn and redeem miles in the Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan."
