July 8, 2008

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Academy’s Distance Learning Branch has awarded Telos(R) Corporation a one-year contract to provide training hardware and software for the agency’s Computer-Based Instruction (CBI) program. The $1 million contract includes professional services to install the equipment at FAA offices located throughout the United States and its territories.

Under the contract, Telos is responsible for coordinating and overseeing delivery of all components of the CBI platforms to Telos’ integration facility and the integration and installation of the Government-provided image on those platforms. Telos also coordinates and manages overall delivery and installation of the platforms at FAA’s CBI Learning Centers as well as provides warranty services to those same learning centers for a three-year period. The contract is a new award and continues the support Telos has performed for the FAA for the past 10 years.

“Telos is pleased to continue providing the latest training technology and professional services to support the FAA CBI Learning Centers in their efforts to develop, maintain and enhance their workforce skills,” said Dave Matson, vice president of sales for Telos’ Secure Networks Group. “We look forward to working with the FAA on site to support and update the agency’s personnel training and development systems. Because of Telos’ assistance, the agency will be better able to provide cost-effective professional development for its employees located throughout the United States and its territories.”

The FAA’s CBI Learning Centers deliver more than 350 courses using the latest CD, DVD and Web-based technology. The CBI Office is responsible for a vast network of state-of-the-art multimedia platforms located worldwide throughout the FAA.
