VVF Buys Henkel’s Soap Manufacturing Plant

India-based personal care company VVF has purchased Henkel's soap manufacturing plant in Poland for an undisclosed amount.

According to domain-b.com, this is the company's first plant in Europe and is expected to both expand its reach and strengthen its current position. In addition to catering to the needs of Henkel, on a contract basis, VVF will also make soaps for other European companies from this plant. In line with this, the company intends to increase soap production capacity from the existing 50,000 tons per annum.

A VVF spokesperson said: "This development is a significant step towards expanding our global footprint. With the acquisition of this plant in Poland, we hope to achieve a good market share within the European Union and live up to our vision of being a provider of quality products and delivering superior value to our customers across the globe."
