July 10, 2008

Denmark-based Vestas has received a supply order from Enel Erelis for nine units of its V90-2MW wind turbine for installation at two wind farms in the Pays de la Loire region of France.

The contract includes supply, installation, commissioning, VestasOnline Business supervisory control and data acquisition system, as well as a five-year service agreement. Delivery is scheduled to start in January 2009, and commissioning is expected in April 2009.

Having partnered Enel in Italy during the past 10 years, Vestas will be working closely with Enel Erelis, Enel’s French subsidiary, in these two projects.

Nicolas Wolff, general manager of Vestas France, said: “We are very satisfied with this new order, as it is the first time that Vestas France establishes a direct partnership in France with Enel, which is an influential group in the wind power industry. We are looking forward to collaborating with such a strong player and strengthening our position in the French market as the leader in modern energy.”
