The 2008 China Beer Market Report Announces That Large-Sized Beer Enterprises Accomplished CNY 83.88 Billion Sales Revenue in the Year, Up 16.37%

China is one of the fastest growing beer markets in the world, with the beer output holding the first position for 4 years in a line. In 2006, the beer output of the country was 35.15 million kiloliters, increasing 14.7% on the previous year. Large-sized beer enterprises accomplished CNY 83.88 billion sales revenue in the year, up 16.37%, while the gross profit reached CNY 3.676 billion.

Presently, the beer industry of China is going through the period after the previous integration period. The competition of the industry is not so fierce now, and the industry concentration degree is upgrading stably.

Meanwhile, canned beer, which could be a new profit source for beer enterprises, is becoming more and more popular among consumers. The two factors will surely bring serious competition to canned beer market.
