SEVERODVINSK. July 11 (Interfax) – The Russian Federal Antimonopoly Service should combat the price hike for aviation fuel, Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin told a session on the development of the oil and gas sector on Friday.

“The Federal Antimonopoly Service should wake up and actively and efficiently fulfill its functions. If it fails to do that, we shall take decisions concerning its personnel. Remember this,” Putin said.

In Russia, the prices for aviation fuel are the highest in the world, and this situation is unacceptable, he said.

“Firstly, it is necessary to destroy the monopoly of the filling stations in the airports,” he said.
