Suggests Holiday Without Energy
TO THE EDITOR:
And last of all: Why can't we, as consumers, take an energy-free holiday and not use any form of energy except in an emergency. Maybe doing something like this bi-weekly would increase our oil and gas reserves and reduce prices.
However, I doubt if any of these things will be accomplished. The oil companies will not drill where they already have leases. Nothing will be done about the speculators and we will not take an energy- free holiday. The truth of the matter is that only the consumer is the one who can conserve.
