ANA to Build In-Flight Meal Plant Near Haneda
Tokyo, July 15 (Jiji Press)–All Nippon Airways plans to newly build a foothold for in-flight meal supply near Tokyo International Airport at Haneda, Jiji Press learned Tuesday.
ANA finds it necessary to boost the production capacity of in- flight meals so it can increase the number of international flights in line with the airport expansion in October 2010, informed sources said.
The new foothold, which will be built on a 30,000-square-meter site in a redevelopment district in Kawasaki, south of Tokyo, will have a meal production plant as its main facility. It will be completed in October 2010, informed sources said.
ANA currently operates international flights at the Haneda airport that link Tokyo with Seoul, Shanghai and Hong Kong. The meals provided on such flights are made at the airport.
Following the airport expansion, ANA plans to launch flights connecting Haneda with Beijing, Taipei and other Asian cities.END
