Air Canada Brings International Flights Back to Dayton, Ohio

Jul. 14–VANDALIA — Beginning today, Air Canada will run international flights from Dayton International Airport to Toronto.
The inaugural flight will take off at 4:40 p.m., according to a news release, and will be saluted by the airport’s fire department as it taxis down the runway.
After today, the Dayton International Airport will offer two flights daily to Toronto Pearson International Airport, which is Air Canada’s hub. From Toronto, travelers can catch flights to various destinations in Canada and Europe, as well as to Tokyo and Sydney, Australia.
Air Canada plans to fly the 18-seat, Beech 1900 D aircraft for its runs between Dayton and Toronto. Dayton International Airport has not offered international flights since 2002.
