Pro-Or: Menarik Property-Exploration Update

July 16, 2008

Pro-Or (TSX VENTURE: POI) wishes to announce that exploration on its Quebec James Bay area Menarik property resumed on June 6, 2008. The resumption of exploration comes after the filing of a NI 43-101-compliant report prepared using the results from its Fall 2006 work program and the integration of previous work compilation datas.

This compilation helped in defining four (4) types of mineralisation on the Menarik property. The property contains stratiform chromitites formations, massive sulfides and Ni-Cu concentrations in the altered zones while on the edges of the Menarik Formation ultramafic intrusion gold showings were found. The Chromitite formations are similar to the South African Archean stratiform ore bodies (Bushveld Complex UG2 horizons)(1). The massive sulfides are similar to the South African Bushveld Complex Merensky reef and to Labrador’s(2) Voisey’s Bay Formation. The Ni-Cu concentrations altered zone look like Ontario(3)’s Armit Lake property, while the gold showing ultramafic intrusions are similar to the Cadillac-Larder Lake Archean gold deposits(4).

This compilation also helped in defining fifteen (15) new gold zones which have not been drilled and six (6) other gold zones that were previously drilled that require additional exploration and drilling. A re-interpretation of the 1996 airborne MAG survey has outlined forty-one (41) sub-circular and linear MAG anomalies that need detailed exploration. The sub-circular zones could be Mafic or Ultramafic Cu-Ni bearing altered rock zones while the linear zones could indicate mineralized faults. The current ground reconnaissance survey aims to explore the gold and MAG zones and will be followed by approximately 10,000 m of diamond drilling.

Dianor Resources’ Ekomiak Formation is located immediately to the west of Pro-Or’s Menarik property. Diamonds were recovered from polygenic conglomerates from this Formation. Pro-Or plans on sampling this Formation’s conglomerates that surface in the southwest and northwest part of the Menarik property.

Pro-Or background

Pro-Or was founded in 1986. In addition to its many exploration properties, it operates an automobile catalytic converter recycling plant in St-Augustin-de-Desmaures, QC. During the plant development and start-up more than 1,200 kg of material was processed during which Platinum Group Elements (Pt, Pd and Rh) were recovered with a commercial value of $130,000. Once continuous production starts in the next few weeks a press release announcing this event will be published.

This Press Release was prepared by Mr. Yvan Bussieres, P. eng and P. Geo, a qualified person under NI 43-101 who also autorized its publication.
