E.ON Seeks Shell Stake in London Array Project
July 17, 2008
German utility major E.ON is in negotiations with integrated energy major Royal Dutch Shell over the latter’s stake in the London Array wind park project, according to Boersen Zeitung.
The negotiations between both the companies follow Shell’s announcement of its intention to drop out of the ambitious project in May 2008, according to the news source.
Shell, E.ON and Dong Energy had initially announced plans to install 346 large-capacity wind turbines in the River Thames Estuary in southeast England as part of the London Array project, for a total generation capacity of 1,000MW.
