CFIA/Warning: Allergy Alert-Undeclared Egg in Various Fresh Chicken Breast Products

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Sofina Foods Inc. are warning people with allergies to egg protein not to consume the various fresh chicken
breast products described below. The affected products may contain egg protein which is not declared on the label.
The following products are affected by this alert:

These products have been distributed in Quebec, Ontario, Manitoba and British Columbia.
There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of these products.
Consumption of these products may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction in persons with allergies to egg protein.
The manufacturer, Sofina Foods Inc., Bramalea, Ontario, is voluntarily recalling the affected products from the marketplace. The CFIA is monitoring the effectiveness of the recall.
