Speak Up on Water Plans

July 20, 2008
Repost This

Gloucestershire residents will have to be quick if they are to have a say on Severn Trent’s plan for providing future water supplies.

The company published its draft plan in May and has spent the last few months consulting customers and interest groups.

Residents in the county can still have an influence on the draft Water Resources Management Plan, which includes the building of the new emergency pipeline.

Water services director Andy Smith said: “The comments we have already received have been invaluable, and have helped us understand more clearly the ideas and views held by our customers and other interested parties.”

Severn Trent has announced plans to build a pounds25 million second pipeline to provide a secure water supply for Gloucestershire.

Comment on the plan must be made before July 29. Visit www.stwater.co.uk.
