Gas Natural, Gazprom to Co-Operate in LNG Sector

Spanish utility Gas Natural and the marketing arm of Russian gas monopoly Gazprom are planning to join forces in the liquefied natural gas business, according to Dow Jones.
The news source reported that Gazprom Marketing and Trading and Gas Natural are considering combining tactical strengths in the liquefied natural gas (LNG) business, as well as advancing co-operation to gas pipeline operations, electricity and carbon dioxide trading.
Gas Natural has expressed its ambition to become an international player in the LNG market. The company is the largest gas distributor in Spain by market value, according to Dow Jones.
