KBR, an engineering, construction and services company, has announced that its 55% owned subsidiary MW Kellogg has won a contract from StatoilHydro to provide pre-engineering services for the Double Inlet Crossover Project at the Karsto Gas Plant near Stavanger, Norway.
The project aims to provide increased regularity and blending possibilities for incoming gas supplies to the facility which will be achieved by providing two cross over lines. The award follows an earlier feasibility study for the same project and a recently completed pre-engineering of the NGL metering upgrade project at the same site.
Stewart Watson, managing director of MW Kellogg, said: "MW Kellogg has been involved with the Karsto Gas Terminal for more than 25 years and has executed over 20 projects including conceptual studies, pre-engineering, and world-scale engineering, procurement and construction assistance projects during this period."
