SporTube Protects Your Fly Fishing Rods
The summer weather may be too hot to fly fish, but this fall the weather will cool. But you have bigger problems. The fishing rod broke in transit and you discovered the damage on the river bank. How miserable to watch the fish bite other lines.
There are protective tubes meant to keep fly fishing rods safe during travel or shipping. The SporTube Airline/Travel Tube is a hard-shell case designed to hold fly fishing rods.
The SporTube can protect two 3- or 4-piece nine foot rods and reels. An additional tube can be used to extend the length of the case and accommodate 2-piece fly rods with reels. The rods must be detached to fit into the case.
Inside there is a compartment for reels with open-cell foam padding. The case can be checked with airlines or shipped as a package to your destination. It has an adjustable nylon shoulder strap that is removable for airline-check in.
$79.95, available online at SporTube.com. Or at specialty outdoor shops; dealer locator also available at SporTube.com.
