Reebok ad campaign features nfl stars

CANTON – Reebok this week launches a star-studded TV commercial to promote its new Speedwick Tee.

Created by New York City ad agency Mcgarrybowen, the ad features 20 NFL stars including Peyton Manning, Eli Manning, Vince Young and Ben Watson.

Reebok is promoting the T-shirt’s PlayDry technology that features anti-microbial, moisture-repellant properties.

After six-month search, BostonCoach hires president, CEO

BOSTON – BostonCoach has hired Larry Moulter to be its president and chief executive officer.

Moulter, 57, recently served as president of Moulter Associates and provided consulting services to companies such as Dunkin’ Brands and EMC.

The post at BostonCoach, a Boston transportation company affiliated with Fidelity Investments, has been open since January.

SHARON CREDIT UNION TO DEDICATE NEW BRANCH

SHARON – The Sharon Credit Union will dedicate its newly acquired North Attleboro branch to the late Edward Lambert. The branch will change its name and become part of Sharon Credit Union’s five- branch network on July 31 when the merger between the two credit unions is completed. Lambert held the volunteer position of president of North Attleboro Federal Credit Union’s board of directors from 1979. He died earlier this year.

New antenna boosts coverage in Dedham, Readville for Verizon

Verizon Wireless has improved its coverage in Dedham and Hyde Park’s Readville section with a new antenna that increases wireless data coverage and capacity along Sprague and Milton streets.

Pembroke company wins design award

PEMBROKE – Cherry Hill Pools of Pembroke has won the 2008 Masters of Design Award from Pool & Spa News, the pool industry’s trade newsletter. The Pembroke company won the award for a design in which a barren backyard in Shrewsbury was turned into a family-friendly garden with a maintenance-free swimming pool.

Bay State gas prices drop for second straight week

BOSTON – The cost of a gallon of regular unleaded gas in Massachusetts has dropped 3 cents, the second consecutive week of lower prices. A statewide survey Monday by AAA of Southern New England found an average price of $4.03 a gallon for self-serve, regular unleaded gasoline. Prices in Massachusetts are 3 cents below the national average. A year ago, the average price in the Bay State was $2.90.

Patrick says he would sign sales tax holiday bill

BOSTON – Gov. Deval Patrick says that if the Legislature passes a bill this week to suspend the state sales tax for two days next month, he will sign the legislation.

Gun maker to mark landmark gun ruling

SPRINGFIELD – Smith & Wesson is manufacturing a commemorative revolver in honor of the landmark U.S. Supreme Court ruling that backed the right of individuals to own guns for self-defense.

The Springfield gun maker revealed Monday it would present engraved Model 442 revolvers to the six plaintiffs in the lawsuit that led to the high court’s June 26 decision striking down a handgun ban in the District of Columbia.

The commemorative revolvers, made in partnership with the Second Amendment Foundation, will be sold in the fall with a portion of sales going to the pro-gun legal group.
