Kingfisher Airlines Likely to Start Service to Pakistan
As part of its plans to start international flights, India-based Kingfisher Airlines plans to launch a service to Lahore, Pakistan along with other overseas destinations by September 2008, reported The Economic Times, citing the Press Trust of India.
The airline plans to use an ATR 72 aircraft on the Delhi-Lahore route. The airline has already applied to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation for approval to commence operations on the new route, under the Bilateral Air Services agreement signed between Indian and Pakistan.
Apart from the Lahore service, Kingfisher also plans to fly to Dhaka, Bangladesh. It also plans to launch services to Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, London and New York from Mumbai apart from new flights to Dubai from New Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai. The airline also plans to connect Bangalore with New York and San Fransisco.
