Alaska Air Group Q2 Net Income Increases
The Alaska Air Group has reported that its net income in the second quarter of 2008 was $63.1 million or $1.74 per diluted share, compared to net income of $46.1 million or $1.13 per diluted share in the second quarter of 2007.
Excluding special items, the company has reported a net loss of $14.1 million or $0.39 per share, compared to net income of $47.2 million or $1.16 per share and a first call mean estimate loss of $0.41 per share in the second quarter of 2007.
The total operating revenues in the second quarter of 2008 were $930.8 million, compared to $904.4 million in the in the second quarter of 2007.
