American Clean Skies Foundation:

What: A comprehensive new study done by the American Clean Skies Foundation (ACSF) and Navigant Consulting Inc., indicating that the United States has an abundant supply of natural gas — enough to last more than 100 years, will be released. This supply could be the key to reducing not only the rising cost of gasoline, but our reliance on foreign energy sources as well. This study contradicts all previous industry forecasts that the current domestic natural gas supply is running out. Why: With today’s record high oil prices and dependence on foreign oil, there is an increased demand for American-produced, affordable, clean energy solutions. ACSF’s study shows that natural gas has the ability to meet this demand and change the face of today’s energy debate and America’s energy outlook. Who: Aubrey K. McClendon, Chairman and CEO of Chesapeake Energy and Chairman of the American Clean Skies Foundation (ACSF), a non-profit charitable organization dedicated to educating the public about energy and environmental issues; Denise Bode, CEO of ACSF; Rick Smead, Navigant Consulting, Inc. (NCI). When: Wednesday, July 30, 2008, 11:00 am – 12:00 pm EDT Where: National Press Club Peter Zenger Room 529 14th Street, NW Thirteenth Floor Washington, DC 20045 202-662-7500
