Pampa Energia Adds 100 MW Under the Energy Plus Program

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina, July 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — Central Termica Guemes today inaugurated its 100 MW General Electric LMS-100 turbogenerator, which will operate under the Energy Plus Program and required a total investment of US$65 million.

The turbogenerator comprises an aero-derivative, gas-fired turbine with an efficiency of 43% that will increase Central Termica Guemes’ installed capacity by nearly 40%, totaling 361 MW. We expect to complete technical trials in August and begin commercial operations in September.

In this way, Pampa completes the first of its expansion projects, under which it will add yet another 400 MW of generation capacity with a total investment of US$410 million.

Change of Corporate Name

Pampa Holding changes its name. Now we are Pampa Energia*, the largest integrated electricity company in Argentina.
