Comtech Mobile Datacom Receives $7.6 Million US Army Contract

Comtech Telecommunications has announced that its subsidiary Comtech Mobile Datacom has received orders totaling $7.6 million under its Movement Tracking System, or MTS contract, with the US Army. Total orders received to date against the $605.1 million MTS indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract increased to $133.6 million.
The orders are for the supply of satellite network bandwidth, MTS systems which feature Comtech's Model MT-2012 mobile satellite transceivers integrated with both ruggedized and control station computers, installation kits, program management, engineering development, and technical support services.
According to Comtech, its Model MT-2012 transceiver features Savi Technology's EchoPoint RFID reader, as well as GPS capabilities. The orders are in support of ongoing MTS program activities in the US and abroad.

This critical systems capability enables the MTS Program to meet ongoing global military operational objectives.
