China Wind Systems, Inc. Is Added to First Trust ISE Global Wind Energy Index Fund

WUXI, Jiangsu Province, China, July 30 /Xinhua-PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- China Wind Systems, Inc. (BULLETIN BOARD: CWSI) ("China Wind Systems" or the "Company"), which through its affiliates manufactures and sells industrial equipment for use in the textile and energy-related industries in the People's Republic of China, announced today that the Company has been added to the First Trust ISE Global Wind Energy Index Fund . FAN is the first exchange-traded fund (ETF) to be focused entirely on wind energy.

FAN debuted in June and tracks the International Securities Exchange Global Wind Energy Index. The Index provides a benchmark for investors interested in tracking public companies worldwide that are active in the wind energy industry. China Wind Systems joins Vestas Wind Systems (VWS.DE), Nordex AG (NDX1.GY), American Superconductor Corporation (AMSC) and China High Speed Transmission Equipment Group Co., Ltd. (658.HK), in being included in FAN, among other energy companies focusing on wind power.

About the ISE Global Wind Energy Index

The ISE Global Wind Energy Index is owned and was developed by the International Securities Exchange LLC, in consultation with Standard & Poor's, a division of The McGraw-Hill Companies, Inc. The index is reconstituted and rebalanced semi-annually according to the index methodology. The index is calculated and maintained by Standard & Poor's.
