Gang Involved in Economic Corruption Arrested in Iran’s Ardabil Province

Tehran, 3 August: A 16-member gang involved in economic corruption in the mines sector in Ardabil Province were identified by the unknown soldiers of the hidden imam [reference to the twelfth Shi'i imam] at the intelligence headquarters of the province and were arrested in collaboration between the judicial authorities of the province and the Ministry of Mines and Industry.
According to a report by Mehr correspondent citing the public relations of the Intelligence Ministry, through forming a hidden network, members of this band bribed certain employees of the Ministry of Mines and Industry and by exploiting the information obtained from them they identified and illegally registered certain mines in the province.
Investigations into the case are still ongoing and significant clues on misusing public funds in the mines sector have been found.
