Epner Technology Laser Gold Stops Heat From DiMora’s 1200-Horsepower Volcano V16 Engine
NEW YORK, Aug. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Epner Technology Inc. is the high-tech engineering electroplating firm whose work orbits Mars on NASA spacecraft. Most automobiles use a metal firewall to insulate the passenger compartment from the heat generated by the engine. Instead, the Natalia firewall will be a lightweight composite fiber panel. This will be covered with the Epner protective film that features a pure gold surface on the engine side. The gold reflects infrared heat away from the passenger compartment.
At one-third the thickness of a human hair, Laser Gold coated foil forms a virtually impenetrable barrier to the blistering heat generated by the 1200-horsepower Volcano engine. It combines the high infrared reflectivity of pure gold with the hardness of an alloy.
