AirTran Airways Reports All-Time Record July Traffic

ORLANDO, Fla., Aug. 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc. , today reported all-time record traffic, both for the month of July and in the company's history. The airline reported that revenue passenger miles (RPMs), available seat miles (ASMs), enplaned passengers and load factor represent new all-time company records.
For July, traffic grew by 14.1 percent to more than 2.06 billion RPMs based on a 10.1 percent increase in capacity. The company's load factor for the month was 89.2 percent. The airline enplaned more than 2.5 million passengers for the month, a 5.0 percent increase from July 2007.
