Charles E. Tucek of Carol Stream for 46 years

Memorial visitation for Charles E. Tucek will be from 3 p.m. until the time of the memorial service 7 p.m. Thursday, at the Countryside Funeral Home & Crematory, 950 South Bartlett Rd. (at Stearns Road) Bartlett. Cremation was private at the Countryside Crematory. Born May 5, 1928, in Chicago, he passed away Sunday, Aug. 3, 2008, in Wheaton. Mr. Tucek served in the Army during the Korean War. He worked many years for Capital Airlines, United Airlines and Ozark Airlines out of Midway and O’Hare Airports. Chuck had an enthusiasm for trains and after retiring he worked for E.G. Home Center in the Hobby Train Department. Charles was the beloved husband of 50 years to Carole (nee Attutis); loving father of Laura (Tom) Boyne, Charlie (Amy), Scott and Carrie (Adam) Babcox; cherished grandfather of Matthew and Joseph Tucek; dear brother of Don Tucek; and uncle of many nieces and nephews.
