MILLIONS of passengers have been stopped at airports with knives, scissors and aerosols in hand luggage.

Around 80-per cent of British travellers have had to surrender personal possessions to airport security as they leave for their holiday, research by Expedia.

co. uk has revealed.

Half of all Brits say they are still confused about what they can and can’t pack in their hand luggage – seven years after strict rules at airports were fi rst enforced.

The Civil Aviation Authority estimates 6.6million travellers have had banned items removed from luggage.
