easyJet to Launch London-Salzburg Service

UK-based easyJet has announced that it will launch a new service from the London Gatwick Airport to Salzburg, Austria, effective December 13, 2008.
The new service will operate three times weekly and offer fares from GBP32.99 one way including tax. This new route to Salzburg brings the total number of routes from London Gatwick to 50 in winter 2008, and the airline expects over 16,000 passengers to travel on the new service.
David Osborne, UK general manager of commercial, said: “Salzburg is yet another exciting destination to add to easyJet’s Gatwick network. We expect Salzburg to be popular with passengers seeking both a city break away or a great ski destination for those looking to hit the slopes this winter.”
