NEW ORLEANS, Aug. 8 /PRNewswire/ — Members of the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) met in Louisville, Kentucky this week for the inaugural NextGen Conference to discuss development of the next generation Air Traffic Control systems. Among the speakers was Phillip Brodt, Chief Marketing Officer for GCR & Associates, Inc. of New Orleans.

In his presentation, Brodt urged the NextGen industry representatives to consider the unprecedented opportunities NextGen affords airport operators and their facilities. “The applications being developed should not be limited only to advancing flight navigation and air traffic management. The vision needs to be expanded to include the needs of airport operators, who are making billion-dollar decisions based on air traffic information. The technologies being developed through NextGen could significantly help in passenger operations and decision-making.” Brodt stressed that an opportunity exists to strategically incorporate solutions for capacity, operations, and financial management for airport facilities.
