Airport in Georgia’s Batumi Evacuated – TV

Text of report by state-funded Georgian Public Television Channel 1 on 9 August

We have just been informed by our correspondent in Batumi that evacuation has been declared at the town's airport. Passengers and airport staff are being taken out of the building. The airport's administration has received information about an expected attack by Russian aircraft. Evacuation was declared by the airport administration just as a Boeing jet bound for Istanbul was due to take off. The flight has been postponed indefinitely.
