AeroMexico to Increase Flights Between Detroit and Monterrey

August 12, 2008

AeroMexico has announced that it will increase its existing service between the Detroit Metropolitan Airport in Detroit, US, and Monterrey, Mexico, to six flights per week, beginning October 15, 2008, up from the three weekly flights initiated in April 2008.

The airline said that all six flights per week will operate this new schedule with departures each day except Saturdays, using the 99-seat Embraer E-190 aircraft.

Lester Robinson, CEO of the Wayne County Airport Authority, said: “Despite the tough economy, the demand is growing for travel between Detroit and Monterrey. We are proud to be one of only a few US airports to have gained a new international airline this year, and we are very encouraged to see service expanded so quickly.”
