Green Mountain Energy Company Receives J.D. Power and Associates Award in Texas for Highest in Customer Satisfaction
Green Mountain Energy Company announced today that it has been recognized as the top award recipient for the J.D. Power and Associates 2008 Texas Retail Electric Provider Residential Customer Satisfaction Study(SM). Green Mountain, Texas' only electric provider dedicated to cleaner energy, ranked the highest among retail electric providers (REPs) in the Texas residential market.
The first-ever J.D. Power and Associates Study of the Texas residential electricity market measured Customer Satisfaction among Texas REPs by examining four key categories: Customer Service, Price, Billing & Payment and Communications. Green Mountain scored the highest in Overall Residential Customer Satisfaction and was rated 78 points higher than the study average for Texas REPs.

The research was fielded by J.D. Power and Associates during the first two weeks of June. It consisted of nearly 2,600 online surveys with Texas residential electric customers.
Green Mountain was the first retail electric provider in Texas to offer renewable energy when electricity competition began in 2001. The company has been serving Texas residential and business customers for seven years with electricity products that are significantly cleaner than typical system power in Texas.
