Anger Over JLA Queues

PILOTS have complained about having to queue with passengers to get through security checks at Liverpool's John Lennon airport.

Unions are calling the situation "ill thought-out".

The airport was the first in the country to introduce fast-track security checks for passengers willing to pay an extra pounds 2.

This meant pilots and crew lost their dedicated access channel.

The British Airline Pilots' Association called the situation "ridiculous".

But a spokesman for the airport said there had been no direct complaints.
