Bloo Solar Recruits Key Technical Advisor
Bloo Solar announced today that it has recruited John Sherborne as a new member of its senior advisory team.
“I’m very pleased to announce the addition of John to Bloo Solar’s team,” said Larry Bawden, President and CEO of Bloo Solar. “John’s background in electrochemistry for thin film solar PV will accelerate development of Bloo’s Solar Brush product. He is a welcome new member of Bloo’s development team, and is already supporting the product commercialization process,” stated Bawden.
Sherborne’s experience in thin films includes a nine year stint with BP Solar in Spain, Australia, and Fairfield, California. “John was responsible for improving the electrochemical deposition of CdTe materials and driving continuous improvement. With over 30 years of electrochemistry background in metal coatings and scaling solar photovoltaics, John is a great asset to the company,” Bawden added.
“Bloo Solar’s unique three dimensional architecture will improve the performance of thin films by twice the total power output of existing flat planar solar products,” said Sherborne. “It has the real potential to drive the price of clean renewable energy to grid parity.”"The technology is completely manufacturable, so I am excited to get involved to accelerate the Solar Brush product to market.”
