Budget Service Takes Off for Turkey From Capital Airport
BUDGET airline Flyglobespan has today announced a new service from the city to the Turkish coastal resort of Dalaman.
The Edinburgh-based carrier will operate a weekly flight to the town, on the Aegean coast, with prices starting from GBP 99.99.
Rick Green, the company’s chief executive, said today: “We are delighted to be offering this new flight to the Turkish destination of Dalaman.
“Turkey, with its rich culture, great beach resorts and reputation as a value for money destination is bound to be a winner.”
He added: “While consumers may cut back on spending in other areas, the main holiday remains a must-have item. Summer 2008 sales have been strong and we have every confidence that our summer 2009 programme, with this additional new route, will also prove a great success.”
The airline already has direct flights from Edinburgh to destinations including Palma, Alicante, Barcelona and Dubrovnik.
