Privilege for Seniors Withdrawn?
By Tam Yeng Siang
I HAVE just returned from a trip on AirAsia, and I noticed that AirAsia has apparently reversed its previous policy of allowing citizens over the age of 65 to board the plane early together with Xpress Boarding passengers.
The airports that I had been to have apparently not announced that senior citizens were allowed to board earlier.
My question is: Has AirAsia now reneged on its commitment to be a socially responsible airline?
It’s pathetic to see old folk and pregnant women struggling with the rest of the crowd to get their seats.
