Searidge and Bayanat Win System Contract From Abu Dhabi Airports Company
Searidge, a provider of technology solutions and services and its partner in the Gulf region, Bayanat Airports Engineering & Supplies, an airport systems integrator, have won a contract from the Abu Dhabi Airports Company to supply the IntelliDAR system for advanced surface surveillance.
According to the Searidge, IntelliDAR is a non-cooperative system, which provides surface surveillance capabilities enabling air traffic controllers to have full situational and visual awareness of the airport’s newly constructed runway.
Searidge claims that IntelliDAR system enhances the information provided to air traffic controllers, empowering them to make timely traffic management decisions with a high degree of confidence. In cases of ambiguity, an air traffic controller has the ability to visually validate what is seen on the screen by viewing the target through the video protocol provided by IntelliDAR.
Massimiliano Dosi, COO of Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC), said: “ADAC is a growing airport with a passenger-centric philosophy and a goal of providing best of breed systems for our customers. We have chosen the IntelliDAR product which we believe will provide the best solution for our surveillance needs.”
Moodie Cheikh, president of Searidge Technologies, said: “We are excited to be part of the explosive growth in the aviation industry in the Gulf region. Abu Dhabi Airport is a busy airport with a reputation for deploying world class technology and we are pleased they have selected the IntelliDAR system.”
Alan Bourjeily, general manager of Bayanat Airports Engineering & Supplies, said: “This is the first contract award for Bayanat Airports Engineering & Supplies and Searidge since our newly formed partnership. This deployment will enable Abu Dhabi International Airport to provide its customers with greater expedition and efficiencies as it continue to grow.”
