Cobal-USA Receives Coal Sector Interest for Waste-to-Diesel Process

August 20, 2008

Carbon-offset forestry company Carbon Jungle’s wholly owned subsidiary waste-to-fuel company, Cobal-USA Alternative Fuels, has received a general statement of intent from a US-based coal sector company to process waste material into synthetic diesel fuel.

Possible feedstocks to be used for processing include waste coal, scrap tires, biomass, dried sludge and municipal solid waste.

Petr Lisa, president and CEO of Cobal-USA Alternative Fuels, said: “We are pleased to now have prominent people in the coal sector working with Carbon Jungle and Cobal-USA. The coal industry now sees us as a better option for the use of coal than simply burning it. Our process is much cleaner and a win for the environment and fuel economy.”
