SEATTLE, Aug. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Click Wholesale Distributing, Inc. today announced plans to open a new fine wine and specialty/craft beer distributorship to service selected counties in eastern Washington and north Idaho. Click Wholesale Distributing, Inc. currently services four counties in western Washington and acts as a master distributor for many brands throughout Washington and other Northwest states.
"The northwest distribution landscape is rapidly changing, following a recent flurry of regional and national supplier and distributor mergers and acquisitions," said Rick Steckler, President and COO, Click Wholesale Distributing, Inc. "We are excited to be in growth mode. Our new locations and reputation for high quality, knowledge-based sales expertise and our commitment to excellent customer service will offer a much needed alternative to retailers and suppliers concerned with the shrinking number of distribution options."
The new company, to be named Click Distributing East, will operate out of facilities in Spokane, WA and Coeur d'Alene, ID. Set to open in early October pending license approval by Washington and Idaho State liquor control agencies, Click Distributing East will offer knowledgeable and passionate representation of Fine Wine and Artisan Beers. The plan calls for staffing the company with talented industry veterans who possess deep roots and experience in the local markets.
Jim Florio, Chairman and CEO, Click Wholesale Distributing, Inc. who spent 18 years in the Spokane wine industry said, "With an upsurge of fine dining restaurants, specialty retailers and increased customer interest, we're delighted to provide this market place with an array of world-class beers and wines normally found only in major metropolitan markets."
The opening of the new company coincides with a dramatic growth in scope for Click Wholesale Distributing, Inc. in western Washington where the company is adding significant warehouse space and other operational resources as well as adding numerous new positions and employees. Said Mr. Steckler, "A number of very talented industry pros have been affected by the news of the recent industry consolidation. We are very excited to be in a growth mode and able to potentially offer attractive career opportunities for many of these people."
