Seventy per cent of the work to build the Asaluyeh-Iranshahr gas pipeline in the Iranian province of Sistan-Baluchestan has completed, provincial Hamun TV quoted a senior provincial spokesman for the national gas company as saying on 20 August.

At the beginning of the next Iranian calendar year in March, the gas pipeline will enter the province and residents of the town of Iranshahr will benefit from gas, Hamun TV quoted Mirza’i, the head of the Sistan-Baluchestan branch of the national gas company, as saying.

He emphasized the need to secure sufficient investments in the 1,220 km gas pipeline from Asaluyeh to Iranshahr.
