Comanche Clean Energy Chairman to Speak at Biofuels India 2008 Summit

SAO PAULO, Brazil, Aug. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Comanche Clean Energy ("Comanche" or the "Company") today announced that its Chairman, Tom Cauchois, is presenting "Vision and Perspective of the Biofuel sector from Brazil" at the Biofuels India 2008 Summit this week in Gurgaon, India.
The Biofuels India 2008 Summit is being organized with the specific objective of exploring global opportunities in 1st and 2nd generation biofuels in India, bringing together global perspectives from senior functionaries of Ministerial experts, leading national-international biofuels manufacturers & service providers, financial institutions, premier academic & R&D institutions, multi-lateral agencies and other expert professionals on biofuels business.
Amongst those presenting are Philip G. New, President of Global Biofuels at British Petroleum, Shri. Vilas Muttemwar, Honorable Minister of State of India's Ministry of New & Renewable Energy, Dr. Gautam Bhandari, Executive Director of Morgan Stanley Bank, USA, Mr. S Sriram, Head of Biofuels for Tata Chemicals, and Mr. Cauchois, of Comanche Clean Energy.
According to a recent Economic Assessment of Biofuels Support Policies by the Organization for Economic Co-Operation and Development, Brazil is the largest exporter of ethanol, with 2006 exports amounting to almost 3.5 billion liters out of just under 5 billion liters of ethanol traded globally. In 2007, Brazil produced 19.2 billion liters of biofuel, and India produced .44 billion liters of biofuel.
