Power Machines, Energ Power Sign Equipment Supply Agreement With Electrosul

Russian power engineering company Power Machines and its partner in the Latin American power market, Energ Power, have signed an equipment supply contract with Electrosul for the Sao Joao hydroelectric power plant under construction in Brazil. The contract value exceeds E7 million.
Under the terms of the contract, Power Machines will supply two hydrogenerators with capacity of 41MW each for the construction of two power units at the Sao Joao hydroelectric power plant (HPP). Start-up of these power units is scheduled for the beginning of 2010.
The Sao Joao HPP is located in the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul on the Ijui river, a tributary of the Rio Uruguay river.
