Two Freed in Calcutta Jet Hijack

A Bangladesh Airlines plane with about 40 passengers abroad was hijacked on a domestic flight today and forced to land at Calcutta’s Dum Dum airport.

The Folcker Friendship was taken over on a flight from Dacca to Jessore.

A woman passenger and a child were later released and negotiations with the hijackers are continuing. They are said to be demanding a ransom of pounds 300,000,
