Oncor Takes Part in Sustainable Technologies Issue Forum
Mike Stockard, Oncor Director of Energy Efficiency Programs, will speak at the Sustainable Technologies Issue Forum presented by the Dallas Regional Chamber on Tuesday, Aug. 26.
The forum will discuss renewable energy and sustainable technology industry trends and topics, including how going green impacts the bottom line, the impact of a potential carbon cap and trade system, assessing the financial investment climate and energy management and efficiency issues.
Stockard's responsibilities include the planning and implementation of approximately $50 million in energy efficiency programs. Under his direction, Oncor has received the Environmental Protection Agency's ENERGY STAR(R) Partner of the Year and Sustained Excellence Awards every year from 2003 to 2008. Oncor has been an ENERGY STAR partner since 2001.
"Energy efficiency is such an important topic in the economy right now," Stockard said. "This forum will help Oncor contribute to a more sustainable north Texas and will continue Oncor's commitment to energy efficiency programs."
